Prince of Persia was a great movie!
The story, action and choreography were all wonderful. The special effects and acting were just as great.
This movie was definitely worth it to see on the big screen. I give Prince of Persia two thumbs up!

I haven’t been this happy over a 3-day weekend in a very long time. The past six months while I was unemployed, the weekdays and weekends all seemed the same because everyday was like a weekend since I had no where to go, so it didn’t particularly matter to me what holidays were coming up. The year and a half before my unemployment, I was working at Maki-Maki, weekdays and weekends were all the same, but for another reason. Working part-time in the food service industry, there is no such thing as weekends. For the most part, they have you working on your weekends and holidays as well, so they all end up feeling like regular weekdays.
I am very happy with this 3-day weekend. I can’t remember when the last time was when I felt my body being this completely spent, both physically and mentally. I felt so tired all the time this weekend and was able to fall asleep very quickly. I guess my body is adjusting to the fact that I have work now and that I’ll be using more energy than before. This is probably true since I’ve also seen my appetite increase as well the past few weeks.
I accomplished more in the last week of this month at work than I did in the first three weeks. Well, that’s probably to be expected since the first three weeks I was learning everything I can about my job tasks and the company. The last week, I finally got the ball rolling and started my plans to change and improve the company. My first few goals are:
- Full accountability of all the inventory,
as it is now, the only items that are partially accounted for are the high value items and moving inventory, but even then, some go unaccounted for.
- Reorganization of all the inventory,
that warehouse is a mess. It’s very difficult to find what you are looking for and could take up to 10 minutes to find whatever it is that you need.
- Consolidation of all the inventory,
we currently have about 5 separated areas with our inventory spread around the huge warehouse. They need to all come together in one area (two, if close to each other).
- Enforcement of RMA policy,
each RMA should be completed within 10 business days, unless parts need to be ordered. This has not been enforced.
These are my top four goals. I’m sure more will come along, but for now, I’m focused on these four.
These next two month should be pretty interesting at work.

” The art of leadership is saying no, not yes. It is very easy to say yes.”
-Tony Blair
This also is very true of parenting as well. Saying yes to our children for whenever they ask us of something is very easy to do. Just look at their faces and how can you say no? But just as Tony Blair says, the art of leadership (or in this case parenting) is not saying yes, but saying no. Of course this doesn’t mean saying no all the time, but striking a balance and knowing when to say no and when to say yes.
I think it should probably be more no’s than yes’s at a ration of 8:1. (per case, doesn’t count if your child asks you the same question 9 times and you cave in on the 9th time.)
